Officials said on Wednesday that a murder-suicide that occurred at an apartment complex in Gloucester County resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
At approximately seven o'clock, the police reacted to reports of a shooting. According to a statement released by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the deaths of Nina D. Sinclair-Green, 43, and Anthony J. Williams, 45, were discovered on Tuesday at the Academy Arms complex in Clayton. The bodies were found inside the apartment where the two individuals had resided together.
Williams allegedly shot and killed Sinclair-Green, who was in the process of moving out of the flat and packing her belongings at the time of the incident, according to the authorities.
According to the police, Williams discharged a handgun through the open front entryway of the apartment after shooting Sinclair-Green. The weapon then struck a vehicle that was parked in the adjacent parking lot, where members of Sinclair-Green's family were waiting. According to the authorities, the woman's family was present to assist her with the relocation, and they did not sustain any injuries.
After that, Williams allegedly turned the gun on himself and committed suicide while he was inside the flat, as stated by the police.
The parking area of the apartment complex was the location where Fox 29 reported an emotional scenario that occurred on Tuesday night. Members of the community and law officers were gathering outdoors together.
"That's the only person I've ever had," Damien Green, Sinclair-Green's son, who is now 20 years old, said to television reporters that evening. "I want everyone to understand that this is genuine life and to feel the sorrow that I am experiencing. No, this is not a game. In addition to having lupus, Green said that his mother had recently triumphed over lymphoma, which she had been battling for ten years.
Sinclair-Green was found to have died from numerous gunshot wounds, according to the findings of an autopsy performed on Wednesday. The autopsy was considered a homicide by the authorities. The officials have stated that Williams died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head.
