Brit, 29, on jet-plunge Singapore Airlines flight that left grandfather, 73, dead reveals he suffered six neck and spine fractures after plane was hit by turbulence

A 29-year-old Briton, injured during a turbulent Singapore Airlines flight that tragically left a 73-year-old grandfather dead, has revealed he suffered six neck and spine fractures in the incident.

The flight, en route from Singapore to London, encountered severe turbulence, causing chaos and injuries among passengers.

The young Brit, whose identity has not been disclosed, recounted the terrifying moments when the plane was hit by sudden and intense turbulence. "It felt like the plane dropped out of the sky," he described.

The violent shaking threw passengers and their belongings around the cabin, resulting in multiple injuries.

The turbulence was so severe that the 73-year-old grandfather, also a passenger on the flight, suffered critical injuries.

Despite the crew’s immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, the elderly man tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The entire flight was left in shock and mourning following the incident.

The Briton, who sustained six fractures in his neck and spine, is now recovering but faces a long road ahead. "It’s been a traumatic experience," he shared. "The pain is intense, and the emotional impact is equally challenging."

Singapore Airlines has expressed deep regret over the incident and is cooperating with aviation authorities to investigate the cause of the turbulence.

The airline has also extended its condolences to the family of the deceased and assured that all affected passengers are receiving the necessary support.

The incident has raised concerns about flight safety and the unpredictability of turbulence. Aviation experts emphasize the importance of always wearing seat belts while seated, as turbulence can occur without warning.

The affected passengers are receiving medical and psychological support to help them cope with the aftermath of this harrowing experience.

As the young Briton continues his recovery, he hopes to raise awareness about the dangers of in-flight turbulence and the critical importance of safety measures.

The aviation community and passengers alike are reminded of the inherent risks of air travel and the need for vigilance at all times.
