Emilia Rennhack, a dedicated New York police officer residing in Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost her life in a devastating accident at Hawaii Nail & Spa in Deer Park, Long Island. 



She, along with Yan Xu, Jiancai Chen, and Meizi Zhang, were identified as victims in this fatal SUV collision that resulted in four casualties and nine injuries, including a 12-year-old girl. 

The driver responsible for the tragedy has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), compounding the heartbreak and anger felt by the community.

Emilia Rennhack was a beacon of dedication and service in her role as a New York police officer. Born on March 5, 1988, in Brooklyn, she grew up with a strong sense of justice and a desire to protect and serve her community. 

After graduating from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Emilia joined the NYPD, where she quickly earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues for her unwavering commitment and compassion.

The tragic accident occurred on a seemingly ordinary day as Emilia was visiting Hawaii Nail & Spa in Deer Park. 

The SUV, driven by an individual under the influence, crashed into the spa, causing unimaginable destruction and loss. 

In addition to the four fatalities, nine other individuals, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured in the collision, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

Emilia's death has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her family, friends, and colleagues are struggling to come to terms with the sudden and senseless loss. 

The NYPD has expressed its deepest condolences, with Commissioner Dermot Shea stating, "Officer Rennhack was an exemplary member of our force, and her loss is deeply felt by all of us. Our hearts go out to her family and all those affected by this tragedy."
