Delainey Millikan, a beloved Licensed Practical Nurse from Liberal, Kansas, tragically passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 29. Her death came as a result of a devastating accident, leaving a profound void in the lives of all who knew her.
Delainey was born on October 12, 1994, in Liberal, where she grew up surrounded by the close-knit community she loved dearly.
After graduating from Liberal High School, she pursued her passion for healthcare by earning her nursing degree from Seward County Community College.
As an LPN, she was known for her exceptional skills, compassionate care, and dedication to her patients.
Her colleagues and patients alike admired her for her unwavering commitment and the genuine empathy she brought to her work.
Outside of her professional life, Delainey was deeply involved in her community. She volunteered at local charities and health clinics, offering her time and expertise to support those in need.
Her kindness and generosity extended to all areas of her life, from her interactions with patients to her support of local causes.
Delainey’s vibrant spirit and warm heart were cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Susan and Robert Millikan, and her younger brother, Jake.
Her passing leaves a deep sense of loss, as she was known not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her personal qualities that touched the lives of many.
A memorial service to honor Delainey’s life will be held on August 3, 2024, at the Liberal Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Seward County Health Foundation in Delainey’s memory.
