Born on March 14, 1963, in Houston, Texas, Ken was a lifelong resident of the city he dearly loved. 

He graduated from Bellaire High School in 1981 and went on to earn a degree in Communications from the University of Houston.

Ken's passion for storytelling and connecting with people led him to a successful career in journalism, where he became a well-respected columnist known for his wit, humor, and insightful commentary.

Ken's career spanned over three decades, during which he wrote for several local newspapers, including the Houston Chronicle, where his column became a staple for many readers.

A memorial service to celebrate Ken's life will be held on July 20, 2024, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Houston. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Houston SPCA in Ken's memory, continuing his legacy of compassion and community service.
