Kyle Clock, a beloved former Great Bridge Wildcat football player from Chesapeake, VA, tragically passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 27 following a car accident. 


His untimely death has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, and the entire community.

Born on May 23, 1997, in Chesapeake, Kyle grew up with a passion for sports, particularly football. From a young age, his athleticism and determination set him apart. 

He attended Great Bridge High School, where he became a standout player for the Wildcats. 

As a skilled and dedicated athlete, Kyle played both as a wide receiver and a defensive back, earning numerous accolades for his performance on the field. 

His leadership and sportsmanship made him a respected and admired figure among his peers and coaches.

After graduating from Great Bridge High School in 2015, Kyle pursued his dream of playing football at the collegiate level. 

He attended James Madison University, where he continued to excel both academically and athletically. 

Kyle's tenacity and work ethic earned him a spot on the university's football team, and he played with the same passion and dedication that defined his high school career.

Off the field, Kyle was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. 

He had a unique ability to light up any room he entered, and his positive energy was felt by everyone around him. 

Kyle was also deeply involved in his community, volunteering his time to mentor young athletes and participating in various charitable events.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Mark and Susan Clock, his sister, Megan Clock, and his extended family, who remember him as a loving and devoted son, brother, and friend.

A memorial service to celebrate Kyle's life will be held at Great Bridge High School, where the community will come together to honor his legacy. 

In lieu of flowers, the Clock family has requested that donations be made to a scholarship fund established in Kyle's name, aimed at supporting young athletes in their pursuit of higher education and sports excellence.
