Sean Thompson, a beloved community member and talented tattoo artist, tragically lost his life on June 30, 2024, in a shooting at the Howell Tattoo Parlor. 


He was 34 years old. Sean's untimely death has left his family, friends, and the local community in deep sorrow.

Born on March 12, 1990, in Howell, Michigan, Sean grew up with a passion for art and creativity. 

He attended Howell High School, where he was known for his artistic talent and charismatic personality. 

After graduation, Sean pursued his dream of becoming a tattoo artist, attending a renowned art school to hone his skills. 

His dedication and passion for his craft quickly made him a respected figure in the tattoo industry.

Sean opened the Howell Tattoo Parlor in 2010, creating a welcoming space for clients and fellow artists. 

His unique style and attention to detail earned him a loyal clientele and numerous accolades. Sean was not only an artist but also a mentor to many aspiring tattooists.

His generosity and willingness to share his knowledge made a lasting impact on those around him.

Outside of work, Sean was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Emily, and their two children, Olivia and Ethan. 

Sean cherished every moment spent with his family, often taking them on spontaneous adventures and camping trips. 

He was a dedicated husband and father, always putting his family's needs above his own.

Sean was also actively involved in the Howell community, frequently participating in local charity events and fundraisers. 

His kindness and compassion extended beyond his immediate circle, touching the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know him.

The circumstances surrounding Sean's death are a stark reminder of the senseless violence that continues to plague communities. 

On the night of June 30, Sean was working late at the parlor when an assailant entered and opened fire. Despite the efforts of first responders, Sean succumbed to his injuries at the scene. 

The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, leaving his family and friends searching for answers.

A memorial service for Sean Thompson will be held on July 6, 2024, at Howell Community Church. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a fund set up in Sean's honor to support aspiring artists and local charities.

Sean's legacy will live on through his art, the lives he touched, and the love he shared with his family and community. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
