eXp Realty Realtor and WESH 2 News Journalist Beth Powers Lamm of South Carolina has sadly passed away. She died on Thursday 17th June 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

The community of South Carolina and beyond is deeply saddened by the loss of Beth Powers Lamm, a dedicated eXp Realty Realtor and esteemed journalist at WESH 2 News. 


Beth passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. Her passing marks the end of a life characterized by resilience, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to her professional and personal endeavors.

Born on May 5, 1980, Beth grew up with a passion for storytelling and a keen interest in real estate. 

She pursued her undergraduate studies in Journalism at the University of South Carolina, where she graduated with honors.

Her academic journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and a drive to make a meaningful impact through her work.

Beth’s career in journalism took off when she joined WESH 2 News as a reporter. Her innate ability to connect with people and her talent for uncovering the truth quickly earned her a reputation as a trusted and respected journalist. 

Over the years, she covered a wide range of stories, from local community events to major news events, always with a dedication to integrity and a compassionate touch. 

Her colleagues admired her work ethic, her ability to handle challenging stories with grace, and her unwavering commitment to the truth.

In addition to her journalism career, Beth was a successful Realtor with eXp Realty. She brought the same passion and dedication to real estate that she did to journalism, helping countless families find their dream homes. 

Her clients appreciated her honesty, professionalism, and deep understanding of the real estate market.

Beyond her professional achievements, Beth was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She married her college sweetheart, Tom Lamm, and together they built a beautiful family.

Beth was a devoted mother to their two children, Madison and Ethan, whom she adored. Her family was her anchor, and she cherished every moment spent with them, from family vacations to quiet evenings at home.

Beth’s battle with cancer was marked by remarkable courage and resilience. She faced her illness with a positive spirit, determined to make the most of every day.

Throughout her journey, she continued to inspire those around her with her strength, grace, and unwavering optimism.

Beth Powers Lamm leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and impact. She is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Madison and Ethan; her parents, Robert and Susan Powers; and her sister, Jennifer. 

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grace Community Church, where friends, family, and colleagues will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the indelible mark she left on their lives. 

Her contributions to journalism and real estate, as well as her spirit of compassion and resilience, will continue to inspire all who knew her.
