Harry Mogck, known affectionately as “Buzz,” was born on April 10, 1952, in Cape May, New Jersey. 

From an early age, Buzz exhibited a natural affinity for the ocean and an unwavering commitment to helping others. 

This passion led him to join the Cape May Beach Patrol in the early 1970s, where he quickly became known for his exceptional lifesaving skills and leadership qualities.

Buzz’s career in lifeguarding was nothing short of extraordinary. Rising through the ranks, he became the Chief of the Cape May Beach Patrol in the 1980s, a position he held with distinction for decades.

Under his leadership, the Cape May Beach Patrol gained national recognition for its exemplary safety record and innovative training programs.
