In 1982, Marla fulfilled her dream of opening a quaint diner in downtown Regina, which she lovingly named Becky's Place after her grandmother. 

It quickly became a beloved local spot known for its hearty breakfasts and Marla's warm hospitality. 

Over the years, Becky's Place became more than just a restaurant; it was a community hub where friendships were forged and stories were shared.

Marla's commitment to her community extended far beyond the walls of Becky's Place. 

She actively supported local charities, organized fundraisers, and volunteered her time to help those in need. 

Her generosity and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals.

Marla Desnomie was not only a successful businesswoman but also a loving wife to her husband of 35 years, Thomas, and a devoted mother to her two children, Sarah and Michael.
