Rory Beck, the beloved lead veterinary assistant at Karnes City Veterinary Hospital, tragically passed away following a motor vehicle accident on Saturday morning, June 29, 2024. 


The accident occurred as Rory was returning home from a wedding, cutting short the life of a deeply cherished and dedicated individual. 

Her sudden death has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and the many clients who benefited from her compassionate care.

Rory was known for her exceptional dedication to the veterinary profession. Born on February 12, 1990, in San Antonio, Texas, she grew up with a profound love for animals, always aspiring to make a difference in their lives. 

After completing her veterinary assistant training, Rory joined Karnes City Veterinary Hospital, where her expertise, compassion, and tireless work ethic quickly made her an indispensable part of the team.

Rory’s commitment to her work was unparalleled. She often went above and beyond, willingly coming in for after-hours calls to assist with emergencies. 

Her colleagues remember her as a reliable and empathetic professional who treated every animal with the utmost care and respect. 

Rory’s gentle demeanor and unwavering dedication made her a favorite among clients, who trusted her implicitly with their pets.

The news of Rory's passing has deeply affected the Karnes City Veterinary Hospital community. 

In response, the hospital has announced a temporary closure to allow staff members to mourn and support one another during this difficult time.
