Broken Arrow Murder-Suicide: Jacob Haas Fatally Shoots Three Family Members Before Taking His Own Life

On July 23, 2024, the tranquil community of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was shattered by a devastating murder-suicide that claimed the lives of four individuals, including the perpetrator. 

Jacob Haas, 34, tragically took the lives of three family members before turning the weapon on himself, leaving the community in profound shock and grief.

The tragic sequence of events unfolded in the Haas family home, where Jacob Haas, known to those around him as a reserved and private individual, was involved in a violent confrontation with his family. 

According to initial reports, the incident began with a heated argument that rapidly escalated. 

Jacob, armed with a firearm, shot and killed his 62-year-old father, James Haas, his 59-year-old mother, Linda Haas, and his 27-year-old brother, Michael Haas.

Emergency services were alerted when neighbors heard the gunfire and called 911. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found the three victims and Jacob Haas, who had taken his own life. 

The authorities are still investigating the motives behind this tragic act and are working to piece together the circumstances that led to the violence.
