Gordon, a beloved resident of Austin, Texas, succumbed to his injuries from the tragic incident on July 12th, leaving family, friends, and the community in profound grief.


Gordon Yang, 34, was a vibrant and adventurous soul known for his passion for life and his love for motorcycles. 

Born on October 3, 1989, in Austin, Gordon grew up with a deep appreciation for the city's vibrant culture and natural beauty. 

He was an avid outdoorsman, often found exploring the scenic routes around Texas on his motorcycle, capturing the essence of freedom and adventure that he cherished so dearly.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Gordon was a dedicated professional in the tech industry, working as a software engineer. 

His colleagues admired his innovative thinking, meticulous work ethic, and his ability to tackle complex problems with ease. 

Beyond his technical skills, Gordon was known for his camaraderie and his willingness to mentor others, leaving a lasting impression on those he worked with.

Outside of his professional life, Gordon was a beloved member of his community. He was actively involved in various local initiatives, including volunteering at animal shelters and participating in community clean-up projects. 

His kindness, generosity, and infectious enthusiasm endeared him to many, making his loss all the more impactful.

Gordon's love for his family was immeasurable. He is survived by his parents, Mei and David Yang, his sister, Lily Yang, and his fiancée, Emily Rodriguez.

The motorcycle accident on July 9th was a sudden and tragic event that left Gordon critically injured. 

Despite the tireless efforts of medical professionals at the ICU, he passed away on July 12th, surrounded by his loved ones. 

His passing has left a void that words cannot express, but his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

In honor of Gordon’s life, a memorial service will be held at the Austin Community Center on July 20th.
