The Sutphen Corporation and the fire service industry in New England are mourning the tragic loss of Larry Dingee, the esteemed owner of Dingee Machine, who passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 65. 


Larry’s death has left a profound void in the community, where he was revered for his dedication, craftsmanship, and unwavering integrity.

Born on January 12, 1959, Larry Dingee grew up with a passion for mechanics and a deep respect for the fire service. 

He founded Dingee Machine over three decades ago, turning a small workshop into a renowned institution in the fire apparatus manufacturing and repair industry. 

Known for his meticulous attention to detail and innovative solutions, Larry’s work consistently set the standard for quality and reliability.

Under Larry’s leadership, Dingee Machine became synonymous with excellence. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his commitment to his clients. 

Fire departments across New England relied on Larry’s expertise to keep their equipment in top condition, and his reputation for integrity ensured that every job was done to the highest standards.
