Obituary: Christina Andrade Death, Beloved Member of Denver Community, Passes Away

Christina Andrade, a cherished and influential member of the Denver community, passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 52. 


Her sudden departure has left an indelible void in the hearts of those who knew her, as well as the wider community that she served with unwavering dedication.

Born on November 15, 1971, in Denver, Colorado, Christina was the epitome of a community leader. 

She attended East High School, where she excelled academically and was actively involved in various extracurricular activities. 

She went on to earn a degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, a path that defined her professional and personal life.

Christina's career was marked by her passion for helping others. She worked tirelessly as a social worker and community organizer, advocating for the rights of marginalized groups and ensuring that everyone had access to essential services. 

Her dedication to social justice was evident in her work with numerous local nonprofits, including the Denver Housing Authority and the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.

Her efforts extended beyond her professional life. Christina was a cornerstone of her neighborhood, known for organizing community events, food drives, and volunteer initiatives. 

Her ability to bring people together and foster a sense of unity and purpose was unparalleled. She was often the first to offer help and the last to seek recognition for her efforts.

Christina is survived by her husband, Manuel, their three children, Isabella, Diego, and Sofia, and her parents, Maria and Jorge Lopez. 

Family was the heart of Christina's world, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. 

Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and an open door to anyone in need.

In her free time, Christina enjoyed gardening, reading, and hiking in the beautiful Colorado mountains. 

She had a deep love for nature and often found peace and inspiration in the great outdoors. 

Her adventurous spirit and zest for life were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A memorial service to honor Christina Andrade’s life will be held on July 20, 2024, at St. John’s Cathedral in Denver. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in Christina’s memory, continuing her legacy of compassion and service.

Christina Andrade’s memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched through her selfless dedication and love for her community.
