Kyle Clock, a cherished former Great Bridge Wildcat football player from Chesapeake, VA, tragically passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 27 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. 


His sudden death has deeply impacted his family, friends, and the community that admired him for his athletic prowess and kind spirit.

Born on May 23, 1997, in Chesapeake, Kyle exhibited a natural talent for sports from an early age. 

He attended Great Bridge High School, where he made a significant mark on the football field. 

Known for his agility and determination, Kyle played as both a wide receiver and a defensive back, contributing greatly to the Wildcats' success. 

His leadership, dedication, and sportsmanship earned him numerous accolades and the respect of his teammates and coaches.

After high school, Kyle continued his football career at Christopher Newport University, where he excelled in both academics and athletics. 

His time at CNU was marked by a commitment to the game and a passion for personal growth. 

Kyle’s dedication on the field was matched by his enthusiasm for mentoring younger players, sharing his love for the sport and inspiring others with his work ethic.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Kyle was known for his generosity, warmth, and infectious personality. 

He was a devoted son, brother, and friend, always ready to lend a hand or offer encouragement. 

His family, including his parents, Mark and Susan Clock, and his sister, Megan Clock, remember him as a loving and supportive presence in their lives.

A memorial service will be held at Great Bridge High School to honor Kyle’s life and contributions. 

In lieu of flowers, the Clock family requests donations to be made to a fund established in Kyle's name, supporting scholarships for young athletes and youth programs in the Chesapeake area.
