Katrina Bolyard, aged 29, a former member of the Indianapolis pop band Manners Please, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was born on March 15, 1995, in Indianapolis to Robert and Elizabeth Bolyard.
Katrina was the youngest of three siblings and is survived by her sisters, Emily and Julia Bolyard.
Katrina had a deep passion for music from a young age and pursued it throughout her life.
She co-founded the indie pop band Manners Please in 2012, where she played the keyboard and provided backing vocals.
The band gained a significant following in the local music scene and released several albums that were well-received by critics and fans alike.
In addition to her musical talents, Katrina was known for her warm and compassionate nature.
She had a gift for making friends and bringing joy to those around her. Her infectious laughter and positive spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
After the band's disbandment in 2018, Katrina remained active in the local music community, mentoring young musicians and occasionally performing at local venues.
She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Indianapolis Humane Society, where she found great joy in caring for animals in need.
Katrina will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held on June 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Indianapolis Music Hall, where friends and loved ones will gather to share memories and pay tribute to her life.
A private burial service will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis in Katrina's memory, honoring her love for animals and her dedication to their well-being.
