Willian Owen Obituary

William “Erine” Owen, age 65, of Mulfordtown, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his residence in Mulfordtown. Erine was born on June 3, 1959, in Sturgis, KY, the beloved son of the late John Ernest Owen and Dorothy Vineyard Owen.

Erine was known for his deep appreciation of the great outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman who found immense joy in hunting and fishing. 

These passions were not merely hobbies but integral parts of his life, reflecting his profound connection with nature. 

Beyond his love for the outdoors, Erine cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He took great pride in being a grandfather, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love.

In addition to his father, John Ernest Owen, Erine was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jason and Jerry Wynn Owen. 

He was also preceded by his parents-in-law, Mary and Oliver “Tuffie” Brown; his grandparents, J.W. and Margaret Owen, and Manuel and Vera Vineyard; four uncles, Bob and Ralph Owen, Clayton and Dell Vineyard; and his aunt, Betty Owen, and her husband, Wayne. 

Each of these family members held a special place in Erine’s heart, and their memories were a source of comfort and strength for him throughout his life.

Erine’s legacy is marked by his love for family, his adventurous spirit, and his unwavering kindness. 

He leaves behind a family who adored him and a community that will greatly miss his presence. 

Though he has left this world, the lessons he imparted and the love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
